"There is another way of putting this. But I forgot it." - Pier Giorgio DiCicco
It felt good to vote this morning! I'd missed it :)
Glad you enjoyed it. I voted during the day, getting trapped behind a retired person who didn't seem to realize they should have brought photo ID with them. :(
We went just before 9am, and there were very few people there. I'm planning to swing past on my way home from work to see how busy it looks.
I went, but the bastards told me I had to be Canadian. Oh, and that I was the other side of the Atlantic from the nearest polling station.
I have to question why anyone in Canada bothers to vote. All parties have the same leftist agenda, just like the UK. Except the Canadians have to pander to the frogs, sorry, Les Franshais. Yes, we've had to adopt metrics here in the UK, but most people ignore it anyway (except the BBC) as it is totally incomprehensible. (For one thing, it's supposed to be based on decimal, but no one mentiones decimeters.) I do believe someone in Canada should stand for Canada joining the US (sans Keybeck, of course) where then the cost of essentials like food and beer would be much lower for one thing, as labels wouldn't have to be printed in two languages, and secondly beer wouldn't be so expensive in Toronto. Did anyone mention the price of beer in Canada?
Aled - joining the US would seriously devalue our currency at the moment...And there are a lot of folks who wouldn't agree that the current Conservative government is "Leftist"... ;)
