You know you're a parent if:

1. You find yourself humming the theme song to 'Rolie Polie Olie' on the bus on the way to work.

Argh. Yeeeurgh. Blarg.

I have one word for you.

"Wiggles"

Could be worse, say, Teletubbies or (gasp) Barney...

Anna - Yeeeeeeeuuuurrrrgh!!!

bk - unfortunately, I am *well* acquainted with The Wiggles.

/toddles off humming "Fruit Salad, Yummy Yummy"

Oh yes, The Wiggles got me good. D.O.R.O.T.H.Y. was a particular favorite. Even now - 2 years since we lost that tape, I still know the words... "Who's that in the garden eating all the red, red roses?" What a tune!

The songs of Barney were murderous, but how about Baby Bop's voice!!!

*breaks out the valium*

*looks blankly*

now if you'd said "Tinky winky" I would have joined in...

I was actually dragged to a Wiggles concert a few years back. Its just so pathetic when you actually know all the words to all the songs and end up having to sing along because your two year old is frozen like a deer in headlights for the ENTIRE show. And yes, he claimed he did have a good time later. Much much later.

Hi Heather and welcome to the blog...

Wiggles concerts in this neck of the woods tend to get sold out at lightning speed. Last time I tried to get tickets for Junior Ricardipus #1 to go, it was hopeless.

Fortunately, they don't like the Wiggles any more...

Luckily, mine were more Sharon, Lois and Bram fans. At least those 3 can actually sing. We 'almost' missed Barney. He was a short-lived fav in our house, so some of my brain cells are still intact. But Raffi. Oh, God, Raffi. I don't know what it is about that man's voice, but it makes me want to jump off a very high surface almost immediately on hearing it. "Baby Baluga" Bleurgh!

/trundles off singing, "Skinnama-rinky-dinky-doo"

"Travelling Tunes" - quality SLB stuff.

We saw Sharon, Bram and friends (Lois is retired, sadly) a couple of years ago.

Also: There's a Hippo In My Bathtub, Anne Murray. Normally her voice makes me think of industrial paint-peeling applications, but that's good stuff, that is.
