What Next?

I'm honestly not sure what to do with this blog.

Obviously, I'm not diligent about posting witty, erudite and captivating anecdotes about my life here... nor tedious, maudlin and petty ones.

I've toyed with the idea before of turning it into a full-blown photo blog, and the idea has even more appeal now that I've taken a look at Dodge's rather nice iPhone photos, but I doubt there would be much appeal. Photo blogs from professional photographers are good to look at; from amateurs, not so much, most of the time.

I also don't maintain another blog, as some of you know, called Life Science Tools of the Trade, which I inherited from three other co-authors who quite rightly bailed on it as a bad job, going on, in at least one case, to bigger and better things.

Hm... there's also the poetry blog, which is looking similarly un-used. Really, the only site of mine that's getting a workout is my Flickr account, bits of which show up here, from time to time.

A funk. That's what it is, a creative funk. Must be.

Anyway, suggestions on a postcard, please, to the usual place. In the meantime, as is my wont, here's a picture of something colourful and tilted, and of course, one of a car.

Personally, I would miss your blog. It's slightly more frequent than mine, but quality over quantity is my motto. Unless I can sell a multiple mainframe deal in one go, then I'm anybody's....
I would guess that it's also indicative of the fact that, like myself, you work your patootie off. That's my excuse anyway, but in my case, that would be a fib.
Be a sad day for Canada if you gave up. And there's me thinking of becoming a Newfie.....

I do like the photos. Amateur photo blogs often don't have the *wow* factor of pro ones, but often come up with some really nice pictures. In fact, I think I read an equal number of each.

Aled - thanks for the kind words. It's a lie for me, too. ;)

Mosher - didn't mean to dump on amateur photo blogs quite that much... just not sure I could pull it off myself.

Hm... [thinks]

Mosher said...

Oh, not saying you were dumping on them - more than you shouldn't dump on yourself! Been some good pics on here :)

Ta, Mosher. :)

I agree on "quality over quantity" by the way. But I would, wouldn't I?

You do as you want. We'll follow you wheresoever you wander, be it exclusively on Flickr or elsewhere.

"Hmm... you need inspiration," said the woman whose blog has deteriorated into a collection of random, seen here-and-there YouTube videos in place of real posts ever since Someone She Doesn't Like Very Much Anymore said they were reading it. Therefore, I have No Business Whatsoever commenting on anyone else's blog.

Also, I feel a Heavy Responsibility, being one of the people who badgered (heh!) you into starting this blog in the first place.

I got nothin'. The postcard, she is blank.

The wv is 'wormo' though. I choose to see this as a C. Difficile reference which means Something Significant, doncha think?

Dawn - thanks for that m'dear.

"Badgered" - heh.

Also - C. elegans. Our nasty little friend C. difficile is much less pleasant, and I *think* this blog is relatively uncontaminated by it.

Thanks, Heather... there must be something to write. I just don't know what it is, at the moment. ;)

these things come and go... all these moments will be lost in time like tears in rain.

Great. Now I have some terrible hair-metal band's song in my head. Thanks, rpg. ;)

That's strange - the quote's from Blade Runner, not any song I know. Unless you can inform me otherwise?
